18-Oct, Saturday, Hiker's Mass at Split Rock Resevoir, Hibernia, 2-4 p.m.: Join veteran hikers Barbara Busch and Allie Moricz for a beginner's level hike in the woods when the autumn leaves are at their color peak. Halfway through the hike we will stop for a half hour and celebrate Eucharist before heading home. Meet in the Resevoir parking lot.
19-Oct, Sunday, Stewardship Campaign Begins: Over the course of four weeks, lay witnesses will speak at each of the Sunday services to talk about how their practices of stewardship has affected their lives. You will receive an invitation to one of a fellow parishoner's home for dessert and to learn about stewardship as a spiritual discipline.
19-Oct, Sunday, Property Day, 9 a.m. to Noon: come to church in your work clothes so you can tke on specific repair and winterizing tasks to get the Church campus ready for winter. An hour or two of your time will help a lot to reduce heating bills and protect our buildings from the wear and tear of inclement weather.
26-Oct, Sunday, Mosque President Speaks About Shared Commitments: Abbas Abdul-Rahman, President of the Jama-e-Masjid Islamic Center of Boonton, will preach the 10:15am service about the importance of Noah in Muslim tradition and Islam's perspective and our responsibility for the creation. Following the service Abbas will join us for coffee hour to speak about commitments Christians and Muslims share as people of faith.
